The internet is undeniably one of the most powerful tools built by humankind, and Akamai is arguably the company that makes that tool run. It’s the quiet, well-oiled, humming apparatus that keeps us all highly productive when we’re using the internet.

Too ostentatious? Fine.

When you want hours of live, high-def streaming content from the world’s biggest entertainment and sporting events, you better hope Akamai is behind the scenes, or else that ish is gonna be laggy.

For their booth at the NAB Show, the annual broadcast engineering and information technology conference, web-delivery and security giant Akamai asked us to partner with them to create this animation to communicate some of their latest contributions to the field.
